Welcome to Our Lady of Refuge School and your child's First Grade Year! I assure you it will be a very exciting one in terms of growth and achievement. Our school theme for the 2010-11 school year is "Call to Holiness". My name is Mary Lou Taptich and I will be your child's first grade teacher. Before the year gets underway I would like to take this opportunity to let you know how happy I am that your child is in my class. I am looking forward to helping your child meet the many academic and social challenges of first grade. As a mother of two Our Lady of Refuge graduates and a Refuge graduate myself, I am dedicated to the high quality, Christian based education that our school has to offer!
